Baked SF: A Celebration of the Finest Pastries in SF

BAKED SF

Baked SF, a one-of-a-kind event for pastry lovers inspired by passionate cafes and bakeries in San Francisco. Baked SF will feature bakeries, pastry shops, chocolatiers, coffee roasters, coffee and tea shops from around the Bay Area.

The design of the event is friendly and fun and is inspired by famous SF landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, The Painted Ladies, Coit Tower, Karl the Fog.

Initial BrainstormThree moodboards were created to get inspiration for the style, location and the venue of the event. San Francisco was chosen as a location for the pastry event due to the variety of exceptional bakeries it has despite small size. The poster was approached using an illustrative style to convey the fun and friendly atmosphere of the event.

Initial Sketches
Each design highlights famous landmarks in San Francisco. Just as Karl the Fog is its own characters, other supporting characters were added to the designs, such as the airplane and the croissant.

Final Poster Design
The final poster design combines elements from concepts one thorugh three and utilizes colors that compliment the bubblegum pink color, which is typically the color of old school pastry boxes found in doughnut shops, and dim sum bakeries.
